Jacqui Rapp, JD, JCL, MCL
Jacqui Rapp received her canon law degree from St. Paul University, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and her civil law degree from Regent University, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She has Served as a judge, advocate and defender of the bond in first and second instance for dioceses across the United States and in Toronto, Canada. When she became pregnant with her first child, she decided to stop doing her work within the context of the office environment, where she was Associate Director of the Tribunal in the Archdiocese of Louisville. She has given canonical assistance to bishops, priests, lay people and religious within different canonical contexts as well as serving as adjutant judge instructor on priest laicization and dismissal cases.
Jacqui is also an experienced presenter, having taught classes and given presentations on marriage and nullity, family issues, Natural Family Planning and rights/obligations of the Christian Faithful.
As a published author, Jacqui has articles in magazines such as “This Rock,” “Canticle,” “Lay Witness,” and “Family Foundations.” She has her own “Ask the Canonist” column, as well, in “Canticle.” In addition, she has published numerous articles on internet wedding sites regarding Catholic marriage and nullity. Her first book, that she co-wrote with Pete Vere, has recently been published through Servant Publications entitled Annulment – 100 Questions and Answers for Catholics.
Jacqui continues to be blessed to do independent canonical consultation from home where she is the wife of Keith Rapp, a teacher at Trinity High School in Louisville, Kentucky, and the proud mother of Alexandra and Sabina. She continues to teach RCIA and work with engaged couples in her parish of Our Lady of Mt Carmel in Louisville.
